SLC Day 1

We decided to take a family vacation to Utah! After a loooong flight, we arrived in Salt Lake on Saturday, November 13th at 6:30am and then checked into our hotel, had breakfast, and then got the kids dressed and ready to head to West Jordan for Nia's Baby Shower! (Nia is Wilson's cousin...they grew up together) It was at Rumbi's Island Grill and Aunty Lisa did such a cute job throwing this together! Nia and Semi are expecting a baby girl around Christmas, and we couldn't be happier for them! Here's where the party was... It was a Ladybug Baby Shower complete with the CUTEST ladybug cupcakes in vanilla, chocolate, and red velvet! DELISH!

and these were the centerpiece's...aren't they adorable?
After the shower, we headed to another party. This time, a first birthday party for Wilson's cousin's son. It was a cute party decked out with Mickey Mouse! Again, I failed to take pictures ;( They were sooo nice to us and kept coming back to serve us our food, dessert and drinks ;)

After 2 parties and a long flight with no sleep and 2 kids in our arms, we were absolutely pooped so we decided to go back to the hotel and snooze for a bit. Our "short snooze" turned into a 2 hour nap and we woke up at almost 8pm.

Wil had promised some old friends that we'd visit, so we headed out again and drove about 45 minutes to see the Toa's. The Toa's took care of Wilson while he attended the University of Utah. He became a part of their family while he was there. We had pizza and cake with them and watched the Manny Pacquiao fight on tv. I'm normally not into that, but I had lots of fun. My hubby, who thinks he's filipino cause he served in the Philippines, rooted Manny on through all 12 rounds and was sooo proud when he won! I again, forgot to take pictures, but I promise I snapped away for the rest of the trip!
It was late so she doesn't look very happy, but she LOVED getting dressed up in her boots, jacket, and her favorite, the gloves (which by the way were a PAIN to put on!)

Our son however, HATED getting all bundled up! Poor thing :(

We got back to the hotel around 1am and went to bed shortly after. It was an exhausting 1st day but we had so much fun seeing friends and family that we hadn't seen in a long time!
