♫ Let it snow, Let it snow, Let it SNOW! ♫

Our number ONE goal for this SLC trip was to be able to see snow!

It might sound silly, but I had NEVER seen snow in my entire 26 years of life. The closest I came to it was getting to scoop up "ice" on a glacier when I was 8 years old (and that soooo DOESN'T count!). Wil went to school at the U of U so he got to experience it there, but both our children had never seen snow either, so SNOW became our mission.
We were headed out to Yasmin's house (on day 2) when we pulled over at a gas station to get water and gas. Wil had seen a truck pull up that had thick snow all over it. He ran to my window after filling gas and said "hey, should i ask that guy where he came from? there's snow ALL over his truck." I told him to go ahead and a few minutes later, we were headed up a mountain on a journey to find snow ;) We were entered Manti National Forest and the farther we went, the more snow I could see.
The trees were all snow-capped and BEAUTIFUL!
We kept driving (about 15 minutes in) to a look out spot and woke Chalei up from her nap. As soon as she saw the white outside, she jumped up and was ready to charge it!

Lei-Lei and Mommy

and with Daddy

She loves this guy...Such a daddy's girl ♥

And I'm sure by now, you're wondering why my husband is wearing shorts. He insisted it wasn't cold enough but boy was he WRONG. (he'll never admit it though ;)

She ABSOLUTELY enjoyed EVERY SECOND!

It was 23 degrees up there which is FREEEEEEZING for us so every so often, we'd jump back into the car to warm up. She fought with us every time because she thought we were leaving but we promised once she warmed up, we'd go back out. In this picture below, she's happy cause she insisted on bringing a handful of snow in with her and we let her win that battle ;)

We had an unforgettable first experience in the snow and Chalei is already asking to go back. Seeing the joy in her eyes and through her eyes makes me happier than you can imagine. So long for now white-fluffy-goodness...
