Our Valentine's Day...

My sweetheart surprised me with all of my favorite treats! The way to a pregnant woman's heart is to buy her SWEETS! Don't get me wrong, I LOVE flowers, but this year, he hit the hammer directly on the head ;-)

Liliha Coco Puffs and Red Velvet Chocolate Chip Cupcakes with Cream Cheese Frosting!
oooh, YUM!

and Chocolate Dipped Strawberries and Strawberry/Banana Kabobs!
Now the story....I wake up on Saturday morning and come out to an empty living room. Wilson is ALWAYS up before me...he's an early riser waking at 6am, even on weekends. I am the TOTAL opposite and NEED my beauty rest, especially on weekends! Anyhow, I look around the house and he's no where to be found. I end up calling his cell and he tells me his dad sent him out to do an estimate for work. WHAT? (Side note: I HATE when his dad makes him do work things on weekends. I guess I feel like weekends should be "uninterrupted" family time.) So I was a little irritated, never-the-less, waited patiently for him to get home. Then he calls me and tells me there was a bakery near by in Kahala and he was gonna pick up breakfast for us. He asked me what I wanted and I assumed he'd be home shortly. A half-hour later, I'm starving and feeling nauseous and had called his cell twice with no answer. I'm even more irritated as I start making breakfast for myself and Chalei. He calls me back and tells me he's sorry, but got caught in bad traffic. I hang up the phone in dis-belief that it would take over a half-hour to get home from Kahala even with "traffic", but whatever.
He gets home, walks up the stairs with his arms, full of goodies, and I feel incredibly guilty! He had been running all over, all morning, to get me all my favorites.
I love my sweets and I love my eternal partner and I am grateful everyday, for everything that he does for me...even the little things. He is more than I could have ever asked for and I feel blessed to have him for eternity!
Happy Valentine's Day!

  1. That is so cute Sarah! Ummm and can you have Wilson teach my husband to do these things. I swear he thinks Valentine's day is the day I make him breakfast..haha. I actually would have too, but I needed sleep instead. At least I thought about it. Btw, CONGRATS on baby #2! And of course it's going to be a cute baby! Chalei is adorable:-)
