and then there were 2!

Our little bundle of joy joined us three weeks early on August 17th at 12:35am and weighed in at 8 lbs 14.5 oz and was 21 inches long. His name is Tevita Keolaokalani Fatongia. Tevita is Tongan for David. He is named after Wilson's grandpa, Tevita Fatongia and my grandpa, David Meyers. Keolaokalani is Hawaiian for "life dedicated to the heavens".

Here is the excited BIG SIS meeting him for the first time!

Getting ready to leave the hospital...
I know the order of pictures is off, but I'm too lazy to move them around.
Here he is being weighed...

Meeting mommy for the first time...
and meeting daddy for the first time.
She is the best bis sister! She adores him. Constantly kisses him and wants to hold him. She loves him a little too much sometimes....she's always smothering him!

Sleeping peacefully in his crib

He is really a cruiser at this point. I don't wanna jinx it, but only cries when his diaper is dirty or is hungry. Other than that, he sleeps or just looks around, very alert, when he's awake.

Mommy is sure glad he came 3 weeks early! She was MORE than ready and he was quite large...I don't wanna imagine how heavy he would have been, had he waited another 3 weeks!

Chalei has been adjusting well and though she has her melt-down moments of wanting attention from mommy and daddy, she is so THRILLED to have him! We could not be happier at this point! We've got our daughter and our son and all is well!

Can't express enough how truly BLESSED we are.

  1. Congrats on #2 Sarah! He is so handsome, and yeah I think it's probably good that he came 3 weeks early! Or he could've been like 10 lbs! That's so cute that Chalei loves him, she's going to be such a great sister. Hope you're doing well and congrats again!
