Christmas Eve (12/24/2009)

Today, we drove out to Hau'ula and spent Christmas Eve with the Mozo's. It's always nice to spend time with them as they are family to us. Jon used to be our beloved party planner and had us getting together ALL the time! Since he's passed, they sometimes seem far and few between, but we have so much fun when we do ;-)

The girls - Nellie, Mai, Yani, and Kirra gathering to play a game of "rob your neighbor". Basically, everyone brings a gift, puts it into the pile in the middle, and pulls a number out of a hat. Everyone picks a gift from the pile or steals one they like from a neighbor, starting with whoever pulled #1. It was so much fun!

Mailani with gift she picked from the pile, it was
a Santa that poop's out brown pieces of candy ;-)

Matt's holding one of Jon's pictures that I later stole from him...it's one of the few with Jon's original signature ;-)

Lola scored this Volcom vest, but Kana stole it from her soon after ;-)
Yani got this rotating Homer Simpson lamp but Baby Jason loved it so much, she gave it to him ;-) Rachel was of course thrilled...NOT!

Amber got this shirt, but Matt took it from her so she could pick something else...

Kiley got this tank...

Then it was Chris' turn and his mom convinced him that this long item in the pile was the best cause she brought it... We all erupted in laughter to see what he got! Tricked by his own mom! At least he can put it to good use ;-)And then this one is of our beloved "Lolo" or "Pops". He stole some Volcom socks and was so thrilled about them! He had a blast that evening and I only wish I had known it would be our last family party with him. Pops passed away on Jan. 5, 2010. He went peacefully while sleeping at home and was finally reunited with his son, Jon. He was a wonderful, giving man who accepted and loved everyone. You will be missed Lolo but I know your reunion with Jon was a sweet one...Hug and Kiss him for us ♥
