We had been wanting to take a little family trip for a while now and the opportunity presented itself when our ward decided to take a trip to the Kona Temple. The ward members all flew up for the day, but we decided that it would be a nice get-a-way to stay for the weekend!
We stayed at the Waikoloa Beach Marriott and got to relax and do the typical "tourist" things ;-)
Shave Ice...We ordered a Keiki Size and this is what we got! It was HUGE! We saw others walking around with shave ice (medium and large sizes) and it was literally the size of their heads! Wish a took a picture ;-)
Punalu'u Bake Shop...The BEST cinnamon roll I've EVER tasted topped with cream cheese icing and macadamia nuts! YUMMY!!!

Then we stopped at my absolute favorite, Big Island Candies in Hilo...
My hubby and I got to take in a GREAT session at the temple thanks to Aunty Theresa! She watched Chalei for us and although she screemed without Mommy and Daddy, it was great to have our sprits rejuvenated!
it is ALWAYS nice to get away and spend quality time together, so glad you got to go to the temple, we just weren't able to go in utah and i was so dissapointed. cute pics!
